Bob as part of Marty Wallach's wedding party. Left to right, the cast of characters is Marty Wallach, Joel Orlinsky, Joel Sherman and Bob. The date is probably 1965. In 1966, Marty returned the favor as one of the ten people who trooped down to Chicago City Hall to watch Bob and Marylaine get married.

Marty says "Bob couldn't decide what to give us for our wedding so I suggested a Brandenburg Concertos recording and he was delighted with the idea. Though I have several CDs of them now, I’ve never parted with that old LP set."

Bob's band, as seen in Teen Magazine, Sept. 1961, pages 26-31 in an article titled" MT's Blast of the Month." Here's the lead text: "The Time: Summer of 1961
The Place: Poppel's Under 21 Tropicana Club (World's greatest night club for teenagers only, Riverdale, Ill.).
The Girl: Lucky Leona Sumoski, 17-year-old from Chicago, who played hostess at this Pop 'N Pizza Panic.
The Guests: Forty of Leona's friends. Special Guest: Leona's date, Columbia recording star, Buzz Clifford.
The Point: To introduce you to a brand new feature, MT's Blast of the Month.

Pages 27 &28 feature a double-page photo spread. Photo is a giant pizza, with each slice featuring a different photo of Leona's party. Bob's band is in the middle right piece of the pizza. The caption for that photo says: " Band members Casey Lee, Bob Rogers, Gary Oberg and Steve King provide dance music and entertainment for the party-goers." [The band members used stage names; "Bob Rogers" is Bob Block]

Page 28 has Leona's guest list and two photos, one of which shows Bob with his sax, as back-up musician for the singer. The caption says:
"High spot of the Pop 'N Pizza Panic is when Columbia's Buzz Clifford sings up a storm. Leona backs him up on "Three Itty Fishes In An Itty Bitty Poo" with some rhythm type applause. Buzz had to do six encores."
