Bob with Marjorie's friend from Seattle, Marj Creech, who was biking across the country in the spring of 1988. Marjorie says "She stopped in Iowa in time for my birthday. Bob biked east to meet her and guided her into Iowa City. They stopped at the Amana colonies to buy food for my surprise party. She rested, bathed & repaired her bike at my apartment for three days. The three of us biked with her headed out of town and posed with our bikes in this park shelter." |
